SafePlace Field Day & Festival
04/10/2010 - By Austin, TX

SafePlace Field Day & Festival

On Saturday, April 10, 2010, the “SafePlace Field Day & Festival” returned with ridiculous team relays and a fantastic festival to raise awareness and funds for SafePlace programs and services.

This exciting event brought the community together to enjoy silly team competitions and activities.

Relay teams competed for the coveted Field Day & Festival All-Star Traveling Trophy while stumbling through events such as the Pillow Case Race, the Hula Hoop Roll Relay and Head Ball. The afternoon also included live performance groups, carnival games, a children’s area, art activities, a dog friendly area and a variety of local food favorites.

SafePlace exists to end sexual and domestic violence through safety, healing, prevention and social change.

For more information about the SafePlace, please visit www.SafePlace.org.
