Peggy Adams Unveils Much-anticipated Grace Pavilion

The Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League held a preview reception for more than 150 friends and dedicated supporters to celebrate the completion of its much-anticipated Grace Pavilion.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with guided tours of the new facility’s ultra-modern adoption center, state-of-the-art medical and surgical suites and University of Florida veterinary student housing. The rescue league also welcomed its adoptable dogs and cats into the building, who wagged and purred in excitement over their bright, airy and expansive new digs. Named for its elegant benefactor, notable Palm Beach resident Jane Grace, the new center will increase the nonprofit organization’s ability to rescue, treat and house thousands of homeless and neglected animals in Palm Beach County. A public opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Saturday, January 23.

“The Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League has been a campus of compassion for homeless animals and families in need for 85 years. Now thanks to the generosity of Mrs. Grace, our new facility will enable us to help even more pets and the people who care for them,” said David Miller, executive director for Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. “The Grace Pavilion is a milestone achievement not only for us, but for the entire Palm Beach County community. This building will serve as the new model for the next generation of animal shelters across the country.”

In addition to Jane and Robert Grace, notable guests included Paul and Joanie Van der Grift; Nellie Benoit; Bill and Kathy Wallace; Sam and Vicky Hunt; Joseph and Carol Flanagan; Gilbert Kahn; Dotsie Letts; Jamie and Katie Pressly; David and Betty Scaff; Steven and Laurie Raber Gottlieb; Robert and Arlette Gordon; Helen Abel; Denise and Dan Hanley; Michael and Rebecca Mackintosh; David and Carol Barton; Melinda Bass and Judy Schraftt.
