French American Aid For Children Honored Renaud Dutreil Chairman of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton Inc. at the 68th Annual Bal des Berceaux on May 8, 2009

On May 8, 2009, French American Aid for Children honored Renaud Dutreil, Chairman of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton Inc., with the Children Come First Award at the 68th annual Bal des Berceaux, in recognition of his unwavering support for children experiencing challenges in growth and development and his dedication to the emergence of artistic talent among younger Americans.

Bal des Berceaux 2009, held in the Grand Ballroom of the Plaza Hotel in New York, was chaired by Imssy Klebe. Leading corporate supporters included LVMH, Dior, Louis Vuitton, MHUSA, Altour, Air France, Calyon, Cartier, Chanel, Dasault, De Beers, Fendi, Hèrmes, Missoni, Mont Blanc, Société Générale and Wildenstein & Co. The evening’s Live Auction was conducted by Nicholas Lowry, President of Swan Galleries. The ball raised funds for seven organizations based in the United States and France that extend professional care to needy children: Surgeons of Hope, The Children’s Village, The Children’s Storefront, Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, Le Centre Augustin Grosselin, Le Centre Français de Protection del’Enfance and La Société de Charité Maternelle de Paris.

Former CBS anchor Jim Rosenfield was the Master of Ceremonies. Ten débutantes were presented in the presence of H.E. Pierre Vimont, French Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Jean-Maurice Ripert, French Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Guy Yelda, the Consul General of France in New York:

Laure-Abeille Debray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Debray, wore Christian Dior.
Faustine Dutreil, daughter of Renaud and Christine Dutreil, wore Christian Dior.
Julia Flatto, daughter of Mr. Adam Flatto and Dr. Tournay Flatto, wore BCBG.
Emily Herrold, daughter of Edmund and Ellen Herrold, wore John Galliano.
Michele Levbarg-Klein, daughter of Mr. Martin I. Klein and Mrs. Diane
Levbarg-Klein , wore Missoni.
Christina Locurcio, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Gennaro Locurcio , wore Morgane Le Fay.
Arabella Oz, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Mehmet Oz , wore Donna Karan.
Charlotte Simpson, daughter of James and Sigourney Simpson, wore Christian Dior.
Marina Wambold, daughter of Mr. Ali Wambold and Mrs. Monica Gerard-Sharp Wambold , wore John Galliano.

The post-débutantes of the Junior Committee dressed by Missoni were Carla and Alexandra Somnolet, Selby Drummond and Sophie Lundqvist. Anne-France de La Mothe Karoubi wore Dior.

Guests: Le Bal des Berceaux has been held every spring since 1942.
